Innovation and Advanced Learning Minister Allen Roach (left) and Paul Wheaton, CEO of Atlantec BioEnergy, look over ethanol tanks ready for installation at the company's new facility in Cornwall.Atlantec BioEnergy Corporation is moving forward with the creation of a research and development demonstration facility in Prince Edward Island thanks in part to funding from the federal and provincial governments.

The Atlantec BioEnergy Corporation (ABC) was established to explore the feasibility of developing a commercially viable bio-refinery to produce advanced bio-energy from non-traditional feed stocks.

The company is now at the stage in its work where they require a demonstration facility to showcase its state-of-the-art technology to process locally grown energy beets as the feed stock to produce renewable ethanol fuel.

Junior Achievement (JA) offers a suite of programs that helps youth stay in school and to enroll in post-secondary education, encourages new business through entrepreneurship and provides today’s youth with the valuable skills they will need to participate and succeed in a global economy.

Approximately 4, 500 students from Grades 3 to Grade 12 in communities across the province have the opportunity to participate in our unique programs each year.
